What is the #HIREBLACK Summit?

The #HIREBLACK Summit is a full day of empowerment, inspiration, connection-building, and education at the intersection of professional growth and social justice + diversity and inclusion. 

The #HIREBLACK Summit is a virtual conference with a focus on diversity and inclusion, that has been produced to connect professionals in a variety of industries all over the world. The summit will provide professionals with resources and tools to grow within their respective careers and personal lives.

We welcome all.

We hope to inspire marginalized people (with an emphasis on Black womxn) to BE the revolution. No code-switching required. This is a safe space. Bring your whole self, because we are going to unapologetically be us.

We hope to give allies the tools to start a micro-revolution and drive positive changes at their companies. We’re getting real. Allies: Pull up. Be prepared to listen, learn, and network with our community.

When is the #HIREBLACK Summit?

The #HIREBLACK Summit is scheduled for Saturday, October 17th, 2020. Our summit will begin at 11:00 AM EST and run through 6:00 PM EST.  Stay tuned for the official agenda.

I see that your community primarily caters to Black womxn. Can I still attend your summit?

Of course, you can! We welcome all ethnicities, genders, and age ranges. The foundation of our community has been established to provide Black womxn with an exclusive networking group to learn, grow, and go. However, we recognize the value of the #HIREBLACK Initiative and are proud to extend professional resources to all of those around the world.

Where will the 2020 #HIREBLACK Summit be hosted?

Our inaugural #HIREBLACK summit will be held and streamed live (entirely online) via the Hopin platform. All attendees will have the opportunity to watch our summit programming from the comfort of their homes. 

Additionally, our team will be sending out official summit experience documentation as our summit date approaches.

What benefits will I receive from the #HIREBLACK Summit?

Attendees will benefit from a full day of virtual panels on career development, allyship, and workshops around life.

Based on your ticket level, you may have access to 1:1 speed networking sessions, access to talent acquisition professionals, plus a virtual job fair/career expo where you can meet your favorite companies and brands. 

If you purchase the VIP ticket, you will additionally have 90-day access to recordings and our VIP #HIREBLACK Portal to continue networking for the future, and beyond.

How will I meet people?

We know that the power of a summit/conference doesn’t end with what you learn, it begins with the exciting people that you meet! 

Based on your ticket, you will additionally have access to 1:1 speed networking with other professionals within a variety of career industries. 

When will the full schedule and speakers be released for the Summit?

The #HIREBLACK Initiative team is currently in the process of finalizing the final schedule and speaker list for the summit. Such details will be released as we approach the date of our summit. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to stay in touch!

Do I have to be 18+ to attend the #HIREBLACK Summit?

No, there are no age restrictions for our summit. However, the programming provided is geared towards those who are seriously planning their career trajectory and looking to develop professionally. 

I would like to speak at this event, or I know someone who may be a great potential speaker. How do I reach the summit organizers?

Although most speakers have been confirmed, we would love to hear from you.

I've never attended a virtual conference? How does this work?

The #HIREBLACK Summit will be streamed entirely online via a software program called Hopin. This platform has been designed to give you the same experience & feel of an in-person conference in which you can network with others (based on ticket level), view live panels with a series of phenomenal speakers, and even have access to a job fair/career expo!

All you will need to do is log into your computer on the day of the summit, access the summit, and sit back to enjoy all of the valuable resources that will be provided! Our mighty team will additionally be sending our official “Summit Experience” documentation as 10/17/20 approaches.

This will be your all-inclusive guide to ensuring that you have a great summit experience.

I got my ticket! When will I get access and more information about the virtual summit platform?

You will receive access to the virtual summit on the day of the event (October 17th). Prior to the event, the #HIREBLACK team will provide a series of valuable & informational emails to ensure a successful summit experience. Be sure to follow us on our socials too! Will the #HIREBLACK Summit be recorded?

Yes, the #HIREBLACK Summit will be recorded. Recording access & replays will be available for 90 days post-summit VIP + ticket holders via our #HIREBLACK VIP portal.

What if I cannot attend the 2020 #HIREBLACK Summit?

Your presence will certainly be missed! If you are unable to attend our summit on Saturday, October 17th, we recommend that you purchase a VIP or VIP Plus ticket, as this will give you access to all summit programming recordings.

If I purchased a VIP ticket, when will I receive access to the recordings?

The #HIREBLACK team aims to provide all recording access to all applicable ticket holders within the first 30 days following the summit. We will share details of this with you via email.

What are the system requirements for the 2020 #HIREBLACK Summit?

For the best summit experience, we do recommend that you access the summit software program via a high-speed internet-capable device. 

How does networking take place at the #HIREBLACK Summit?

Speed-networking will be available to Networking Access & VIP ticket holders. Ticket holders who have purchased this benefit will have the ability to network with recruiters and other talent acquisition professionals for 7 minutes per match.

Where else can I receive the most updated information on the #HIREBLACK Summit?

The #HIREBLACK team will be providing a series of emails leading to the summit with all updated information. Be sure to continuously check back for frequent updates by visiting our summit website at www.hireblacksummit.com, and visit our socials for more information.

What do I do if I can no longer attend the #HIREBLACK Summit?

Summit tickets are non-refundable. We hope to host you for another #HIREBLACK event in the future!

How do I invite my friends/family/colleague to the #HIREBLACK Summit?

Are there any volunteer opportunities at the #HIREBLACK Summit?

At this time, the #HIREBLACK volunteer team has been selected. Each mastermind team member has been diligently working to provide you with the best summit experience possible for many weeks. What is the #HIREBLACK Summit Resume Book, and how do I submit my resume?

The “#HIREBLACK Mega Resume Book” is a series of individual databases of resume details for companies they want to hire YOU. Submit your resume to opt-in to companies who are looking to hire diverse talent.

Companies will reach out to you directly. Such resumes will then be shared directly with our corporate partners in order to facilitate the connection for professionals actively seeking new employment, or those interested in learning more about new companies and the opportunities that they have available.

This is for everyone, so send this page to your boo, friend, cousin, brother, etc. You do not have to purchase a summit ticket to take advantage of this resource. 

Will there be any events before or after the summit?

All #HIREBLACK events, with an exception to our weekly LinkedIn Live chats, have been temporarily paused until the date of the summit. Post summit, we will resume and organize a series of virtual webinars to continuously provide you with professional development resources to continue to thrive.

Is this the first #HIREBLACK Summit?

Yes, this is the inaugural #HIREBLACK Summit. We are excited to produce and provide you with the experience of a lifetime.

How do I get in touch with your customer experience team?

Can I purchase tickets in bulk?

Yes, bulk tickets are available for purchase. We offer a 10% discount for groups of 10+, please reach out to support@hireblack.zendesk.com for assistance & additional details.

Do you offer student tickets?

Yes, we do offer student tickets. If you are a student, please fill out this form here in order to receive a special discount code for your ticket.

How much is each ticket?

Are your ticket prices negotiable?

No.

Do you offer financial support?

At this time, the #HIREBLACK team does not provide any financial support for our virtual summit.

Can my company pay for this?

Yes, the #HIREBLACK team encourages you to share all summit details with your leadership and Human Resources teams.

Due to the professional development nature of this summit, companies should be able to provide you with the financial resources to pay for your summit ticket, if it is within their corporate policy to due so.
